About Team — Executive Team

President and CEO
Bruce Chatterley came to the helm of Speakeasy in 2003, leading the company in exciting new directions and doubling its size. It was Chatterley's direction and overall guidance that led Best Buy, Inc. to purchase Speakeasy and begin a mutually beneficial relationship as part of the Best Buy family of businesses.
Chatterley led a series of sweeping strategic shifts, changing the company's focus from providing data connectivity to residential customers to becoming a provider of broadband voice and data communications for small business.
Speakeasy is benefiting from Chatterley's over 20 years of domestic and international high-tech and telecommunications experience. Prior to Speakeasy, he was CEO of ViAir, a Seattle developer of carrier-based mobile messaging software, where he led the company through its 2003 merger with Visto Corp. Earlier, he was president of eServices & Small/Middle Markets for Concur Technologies, a developer of web-based travel and entertainment expense management applications.
Chatterley also held several executive positions with Ameritech Corporation (now SBC), including Chief Consumer Marketing Officer and Vice President of Product Management. Earlier in his career, Chatterley held sales, marketing and business development leadership positions with US West, General Electric and IBM. Chatterley earned his MBA from the Kogod College of Business Administration at American University and his BSBA from Central Michigan University.
Chatterley believes in living Speakeasy's Core Values: a passion for customers; respect for individuals and individuality; and a drive to do the right thing and achieve results.
